GANAAN Highland Sound Studio
Recognizing the need for high quality recording of the bagpipes and drums, GANAAN Highland Manufacturing has set forth to build a recording studio dedicated to your needs.
Located in Surrey, BC, the GANAAN Highland Sound Studios offers a recording booth capable of handling solos, duo, trios and quartets comfortably playing the bagpipes and drums; however, we are not limited and if you want to bring a keyboard, guitar or other musical instrument along we can provide inputs to record them as well.
GANAAN Tuning Blocks
Our engineering department looked at what tuning blocks do and came up with some solutions to common problems. The main problem identified was how much of the setting surface can be used. With a couple of refinements in design we are able to achieve 35% more surface area being in contact with the drum rims. This gives the drummer the ability to achieve a better and more consistent set on every bolt. Mussier Glock Mount by GANAAN
Our first commission piece is very interesting. A mount for an upright Mussier glockenspiel to be played horizontally allowing the musician to use both hands. Mussier Glockenspiel - www.musiciansfriend.com/marching-band/musser-m-2041-glockenspiel We jumped at the challenge and went right to work designing a new mounting frame and attachment that would incorporate our unique GTR Mounting System used with Side Drums. Made from aluminum 6061-T6 our GTR Mussier Glock Mount is lightweight and easily converts the rails over allowing the player to be back making music with two hands in about 15 minutes. GMAX Harness
The GMAX harness is engineered using a 3K Carbon-Kevlar material and comes in a 2x2 twill weave pattern. This makes for superior strength and a harness that is so light you hardly know you have it on. Designed with a wider range of body sizes in mind and taking into consideration the female form, the GMAX Harness gives the player a wider range of adjustment options.
