For a more experienced player they may feel that it preforms more naturally with a similar feel and response to other drum pads on the market, for a beginner it should be more consistent with natural development. When playing the 40 Series drum pad, take a few moments and focus on rudiment development work, and it begins to translate to stronger tighter rolls along with other rudiment development which will translate to a stronger performance when played on the drum head itself.

The pad is cast entirely from a premium platinum cure silicone rubber developed by the manufacturer. With a Shore A hardness of 40 and a tensile strength of 665 psi, this material offers exceptional tear resistance, long-term elasticity, and a natural rebound that’s easy on the wrists and responsive under the stick.

Each pad in the 40 Series is hand-poured into a custom 1/4" (6 mm) mold, resulting in a uniform surface with just enough give to simulate a real drumhead—without excess bounce. This fixed thickness balances playability and firmness while keeping the pad lightweight and compact.

Our mold surface features the GANAAN™ logo laser-engraved and machine-polished to perfection, creating a subtle, high-gloss finish that emerges directly from the mold with every pour. No post-processing needed—just clean, professional detail that speaks to the quality behind the build.
