New Additions to the MKII Practice Chanter Family
At GANAAN Highland Manufacturing, we're always looking for ways to improve both the performance and appearance of our products. We're excited to announce that new designs and colour options for the GANAAN MkII Practice Chanter are arriving soon and are now available for reservation. [ganaan.ca]
Expanding a Proven Design
The GANAAN MkII Practice Chanter has earned a reputation for its durability, innovative engineering, and rich, warm sound. Manufactured entirely from T6061-T6 aluminum, the MkII was designed to provide a lifetime of reliable performance while incorporating unique features rarely found in traditional practice chanters.
With features such as:
- Internal moisture trap technology
- Dual O-ring sealing systems
- Oversized deep reed seat for tuning flexibility
- Bottom-hand thumb reference landmark
- Precision-machined aluminum construction
the MkII continues to set a high standard for modern practice chanters.
Coming soon is the option of interchangeable sole plates. Starting with serial number 00067 all new chanters will have a threaded sole plate and chanter bottom. You will be able to order any of the designs we offer as an add-on option to your MkII Practice Chanter.
New Colours Arriving September 2026
One of the most requested updates from players has been additional colour choices. We are pleased to announce a new solid-colour anodized finish joining the GANAAN lineup. Similar in appearance and durability to our popular Grey/Pewter finish, this new option gives players another way to personalize their chanter while maintaining the rugged protection anodizing provides. The traditional Black color has been selected from feedback.
Fresh Design Options
In addition to the new colour, we're introducing updated design variations that build upon the sleek, modern appearance of the MkII Practice Chanter. The new designs continue GANAAN's commitment to combining engineering precision with distinctive aesthetics that stand out in any piping setting.
The Fire Fighter shield will be available with the option of laser engraving to personalize the sole plates even further at additional cost. Contact sales@ganna.ca for details and pricing.
